![]() ![]() The MKII is faster, has better pitch and (very slightly) better yaw, a lower initial hull mass for the sake of shields, access to a fighter bay, and better convergence on the 3 large hardpoints. The Krait MKII has the same internals minus 1 Class 6 optional slot, so any engineered modules you’ve worked on will fit right in, and at greater effectiveness. The MKII is my preferred, but the Phantom is also very popular for good reason. It sounds an awful lot like you want a Krait. If the Anaconda isn't a better option, then I suppose I'm back to multiple ships. Plus the internals are full, so refinery/limpets would require me to drop something else. My Python is working pretty well for most things, but the jump range is discouraging me from using it for exploration, and it doesn't have enough hardpoints for both guns and laser mining. I don't really do any of the Oddyssey settlement stuff at this point, so that's pretty much it. For combat I tend to stick to missions against single targets or small numbers, mostly pirates. For mining I'm thinking the same thing, just occasional laser mining for fun. ![]() For exploration I'm thinking occasional 5kLy trips, just to stretch my legs and do some exobiology (in my SRV). I don't expect it to be the best at anything, just decent. I'd like a single multipurpose ship that can perform light exploration, light mining, and light combat. My only goal is to enjoy the ride, but for me that means variety. Post/comment not appearing? It may have entered our AutoModerator's event horizon.
